
On 07/22/2009 we arrived at Outdoor World Williamsburg Resort near Williamsburg, VA for two weeks. We visited Yorktown Battlefield part of Colonial National Historical Park on 08/01/2009. In May 1781 Gen. Charles Lord Cornwallis moved his army into Virginia from North Carolina after an arduous and costly southern campaign. He was told to establish a naval base somewhere in the lower Chesapeake Bay area. Gen. George Washington moved the Allied Army, consisting of his own forces near New York City and a French army under Gen. Rochambeau, in Rhode Island, to Virginia to attack Cornwallis by land and with a French fleet blocking the Chesapeake Bay. On 09/28/1781 The Allied Army arrived at Yorktown, VA and on 10/06/1781 they started the first siege line and 3 days later started the bombarding of the British. On 10/19/1781 Cornwallis formally surrendered his army. The picture is of the Grand French Battery.

We drove to Cherry Hill RV Park in College Park, MD on 08/05/2009 for two weeks of doctor appointments. We visited our home church, Central Seventh Day Baptist Church, near Largo, MD. The picture is of a deer at a campsite near ours. We arrived at Outdoor World Gettysburg Farm near Dover, PA on 08/19/2009. On 08/21/2009 we visited Pam’s Aunt Fran in Quincy, PA. Then on 10/02/2009 we moved to Outdoor World Circle M in Lancaster, PA. We drove back to Cherry Hill RV Park in College Park, MD on 09/09/2009. We stayed there for a week. On 09/16/2009 we arrived at Outdoor World Gettysburg Farm near Dover, PA for two weeks. We visited Pam’s Aunt Fran in Quincy, PA for the second time this year on 09/26/2009. On our way back to our RV we stopped in Gettysburg, PA to visit the Mort Kunstler Art Gallery.

We traveled to Cummins near Harrisburg, PA on 09/29/2009 for repairs to the engine and generator. The picture is of our RV at Cummins.
